About the course

This course is unlike anything currently taught in either conventional or alternative medicine. Beginning with the four humors and four temperaments, you will trace humoral thinking from Egyptian temple medicine through the Hippocratic corpus, Galen's synthesis, the Islamic Golden Age, medieval Europe, and into the living traditions of Ayurveda, Chinese Medicine, Unani, and Western herbalism today. By the end of 12 weeks you will be able to identify constitutional types, understand how disease arises from humoral imbalance, and apply this framework directly in your clinical practice. This is Course 1 of the 4-course Humoral Medicine Certificate Program.

Dr. Mason Gasper

Dr. Mas0n Clark Gasper is a board-certified osteopathic neurologist who trained at Brown University, where he served as Director of the Stroke Center, Director of the Concussion Clinic, and Assistant Professor of Clinical Neurosciences (Preceptor of the Year, 2022). He holds a Professional Diploma in Medical Astrology from Kepler College, a 3-year Medical Diploma from the Tibetan Medical Education Center under Dr. Pasang Y. Arya, and certifications in Homeopathy, Functional Medicine, and Integrative Hypnotherapy. His clinical practice combines osteopathic cranial sacral therapy, nutritional medicine, and astrological consultation alongside conventional neurology. This program distills that lifetime of integrative practice into a rigorous, learnable curriculum.
